George Rockingham Gilmer papers, 1827, 1858.

The collection consists of papers of George Rockingham Gilmer for 1827 and 1858. The collection includes a journal, written by Gilmer, detailing a trip he and his wife took to Virginia in 1858. Written in heroic couplet, the journal describes their travels, friends, relatives, and activities during the trip.
